Adult dementia caregiver thumbs up |

I recently purchased the polar fleece thumbless adult mittens (with clip ons). I am a caregiver for adults stricken with early onset dementia. I take them for walks, outings because they delight in remaining active -- the outings are a source of joy in their increasingly constrained and confusing existence. We have fun. As the dementia progresses, their motor skills deteriorate such that they can't maneuver their fingers into the finger tubes of gloves, and then they can't even separate their thumb from the rest of their hand to use in traditional mittens. And even when I just ball up their hand and put it in the traditional mitten, they constantly lose grip and lose the mitten. Your thumbless mittens solve the motor skill problem, and equally important, the elastic at the wrist solves the falling off the hand problem, and then of course the clip ons are the last safety which prevents loss of the mittens at all. They are perfect, warm, and beautiful.
