Some time ago, I was asked by a distressed Grandmother if I could make a replica of her granddaughter's security blanket that had been lost. It was made of cotton and satin squares and had a satin backing and binding. The original was about 24" x 36". Ava and her Grandma were pleased with the new blankie. I enjoyed making the satiny blankie and thought there may be other little ones who like them. With Ava's and her Grandma's permission I am now making the satin blankies and I am calling them the "Ava Blankie".

Gramma's Ava Blankies are approximately 24" x 24". They are made of 16, 6" x 6" cotton and satin squares with a coordinating satin backing and binding. There is NO batting between the layers, so they are very compact and take up very little room in a diaper bag. They are basically for comfort, especially if the little one loves the satiny feel. They are machine washable and dryable of course.

How to order your Ava Blankie (You need 4 fabrics for the front squares, a satin backing, and a satin binding.):

Choose a lettered picture of a design you like or colors, etc.

Choose 4 cotton or satin fabrics - I will assemble them in a design.

If you choose a Cotton Solid Color, select a color to coordinate and I'll match it to a print, etc. (Solid colors aren't shown)
